The Story Behind the Cards
By day, I'm a paramedic. By night, and on every day off, I make greeting cards.
I'm Aaron, the designer, printer, and one-person operation behind Ink & Paper by Aaron, a small Canadian stationery brand based in Alberta. Every card you see here was designed, printed, and packaged by me in my home studio.
Why Greeting Cards?
Before emergency services, I spent nearly a decade working in graphic design. Creativity never left me. It just needed a new outlet. After long shifts, making cards became the way I slowed down, reconnected with something quiet and intentional, and put something honest out into the world. What started as a personal project gradually became a small business built around original design, small-batch production, and a genuine love of well-made stationery.
What Makes These Cards Different
Mass-produced cards are everywhere. These aren't that.
Every design in my collection is original. No clip art, no recycled sentiment. I print in small batches on premium paper because the feel of a card matters just as much as what it says. My work spans funny birthday cards and modern humour cards to thoughtful, heartfelt designs for the moments that actually mean something. The kind of cards that get pinned to the fridge, or tucked away and kept.
Made in Alberta. Made with Care.
I keep production in-house because it lets me stay hands-on with every detail: paper quality, print consistency, and packaging. As a small Canadian stationery brand, I'm proud that so much of this process happens right here in Alberta. It keeps the work personal and connected to why I started in the first place.
If you're looking for original greeting cards that feel genuine, well-designed, and made by an actual human who cares, you're in the right place.
